As head of the promotions team responsible for GOLD sales for native Canadian folk/rock duo Kashtin and rap group Naughty By Nature, Last Tango Productions subsequently became responsible for a large portion of publicity and promotions for Quality Records in the early ‘90s. Promotions for Quality Records included the Chris Sheppard Presents the Techno Trip release (platinum status), international techno sensation 2 Unlimited with their debut album Get Ready (platinum status), and the sequel album Sheppard’s Revenge, Techno 2 (platinum status).
The success of Last Tango Productions has continued to grow with promotions in all music genres across the country. Over the years, Last Tango Productions has been an integral part of the promotion teams responsible for a number of record-breaking artists including the Vengaboys (platinum) and Bran Van 3000 (platinum) and successfully launching as well as maintaining the careers of other familiar names (Ron Wood, Charlie Watts, Nickelback, Engelbert Humperdinck, Paul Gross, Huey Lewis & The News, The Nylons, Helmut Lotti, Ginette Reno, The Barra MacNeils, Mike Plume, Oliver Schroer, Saga and many more).
Last Tango Productions has been nominated best publicity and/or radio promotions company for five consecutive years at the Canadian Music Week industry awards. President of Last Tango Productions, Yvonne Valnea, has also contributed her many years of experience in the music industry as a respected juror for the Juno Awards, Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, FACTOR, and the Havelock Country Music Showdown.
